text box view jumping to top?

when I type anything longer than around 13 lines (including the lines if I quote someone elses post) the text box jumps up to the top so I can't see what I'm typing. The cursor stays wherever the last letter I typed is, and I can continue to type, but the view of the text box moves to the top everytime I finish typing a letter. Hope that makes sense. It happens whether I'm on my laptop or pc. Is this happening to anyone else? It's really f(*&&^ng annoying. As always, I appreciate the efforts of the webmasters, and don't want to complain too much, but I just had to inform you guys cuz it's driving me nuts if I go past 13 or 14 lines.

Same thing happens to me on another forum, must just be the nature of the beast. Either that or the forum is trying to tell you to STFU! LOL!!!!!

It used to do it to me, not just here, other forums and facebook as well F'n hated it!!
But I have just reformatted my comp and got a fresh copy of windows on her and its all good now. So im to believe maybe some glitch or a mini virus or something???

Turn IE8 on in compatibility mode.

The forum is MUCH older then the updated browser.

That's a good idea, especially for long replies. I know that sometimes (not here) that I've typed a small novel in reply only to find out that the page has timed out or hit a wrong key and the whole reply just disappears.
Then it's either start over or more likely F**C IT and close the page!

I haven't had that happen, but this is the only forum where posts just disappear.

Sometimes if you're posting at the same time as someone else (rare I know) their posts goes through but mine doesn't.  So it's just lost.  And then all my wisdom is lost too....and no one here benefits from that wisdom.  Bwahahaha!
